Assenmacher Specialty Tools GM245 EN-49245 Fuel Injector Seals Tool

The AST GM245 EN-49245 Fuel Injector Seals Tool is designed specifically for replacing fuel Teflon injector seals on a variety of General Motors and Subaru engines.

This special tool is used on General Motors 2.0L & 3.6L engines with Hitachi fuel injectors (2010-2017) as well as 2.0L, 2.4L, 2.5L, 5.3L, and 6.2L engines with Bosch, Continental, and Delphi fuel injectors (2012-2017).

Additionally, Assenmacher GM245 is compatible with Subaru 2.0L/2.4L turbo engines (2014-2019).

The tool is comparable to EN-49245, EN-49245-SUB, EN-51105, and 18683AA000, ensuring its compatibility with and functionality in various injector seal replacement scenarios.

For the Hitachi SIDI system used on 2010-2012 LF1 3.6L V6 and LAF 2.0L ECOTEC engines, the injector tip has two seals that need to be correctly installed into their respective grooves. These seals must also be sized to the engineered dimension before the injectors are installed into their bores in the cylinder head.

The AST GM245 includes:

  • Two seal installation pilots, one for each groove, which allow the seal to smoothly slide onto the injector tip without catching on any machined surface or ending up in the wrong groove.
  • The tool also includes a seal installer used to drive the seal over the pilot and into the groove
  • A sizer to compress each seal into its groove and ensure its proper size before installation.

Tis kit is not applicable to the newer, smaller, 6 mm diameter injectors. The GM factory tools set EN-51955 is needed for these.

Using the AST GM245 is crucial for properly installing the seals and ensuring they are sized correctly to prevent leaks and ensure optimal operation
