Description

Kent-Moore J-41683-A H-Ring Installer

Applications: Mack Truck E-TECH and ASET engines

Any valve train failure that results in excessive valve lash or subjects the valve lifter body to rotational force, can result in the valve lifter H-ring dislodging or rotating out of alignment in the lifter bore. These types of failures include a broken rocker arm, broken rocker shaft, broken rocker shaft mounting bolts, etc. When any such failure has occurred, the H-ring must be checked to determine if it is dislodged. Any dislodged H-ring must be removed from the lifter bore and properly reinstalled. Use tool J-46083 to check for proper alignment after installation of the new H-Ring.
