The GM-43631 Ball Joint Remover is a versatile tool for efficiently removing ball joints and wheel studs on specific vehicles. This tool is compatible with various models, including:

  • Astro (2WD: 1998-2005, 4WD: 1998-2005)
  • Avalanche (2WD: 2002-2006, 4WD: 2002-2006)
  • Camaro (1998-2002)
  • Canyon Pickup (4WD: 2004-2006)
  • C/K Truck

Important Note: Current tools may not have large enough openings to accommodate the ball joint of the GMT800.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Loosen the ball joint nut.
  2. Position the GM-43631 tool on the ball joint.
  3. Turn the forcing screw to apply extreme pressure on the ball joint stud, allowing it to come loose.

Caution: Avoid using a hammer to remove the ball joint, as this can damage it and its related components.

According to a September 1999 GM service bulletin, the GM-43631 tool can also be used as a wheel stud remover for specific vehicles.
