Description

Polyvance R07-04-03-GN Green Polycarbonate Rod,3/8" x 1/16", 30 FT

Polycarbonate is a rigid plastic and is commonly used on bumpers on older model Ford Taurus, Mercury Sables, and Ford Aerostar mini-vans. It is also used on some Hyundai and Mercedes bumpers, John Deere tractor hoods and panels, and headlight lenses. Saturn door panels may also be welded with polycarbonate since they are made from Pulse, which is a polycarbonate blend. Although, if you have a Pulse plastic part, we have a Pulse (PC+ABS) welding rod available.

The generic name is polycarbonate but the "brand names" for polycarbonate are Xenoy and Lexan. In addition to the PC symbol, you may also find the "SLX" symbol on the part. SLX plastic is a Polycarbonate copolymer that has much better UV resistance, but is easily welded with our polycarbonate plastic welding rod. This welding rod color is a very close color match with John Deere tractors allowing you to get a more "invisible" repair. This package contains 30 ft. (9.1 m). Each welding rod is 1 ft. (30 cm) long and is 3/8th inch (9.5 mm) wide by 1/16th inch (1.6 mm) thick.
