PBT is the abbreviation for "Polybutylene Terephthalate". PBT is not used very often in automotive applications, but when it is used, it is often used in sensors housings, tail light housings, some trim pieces, side marker light housings, headlight bezels, distributor caps and other applications where you need excellent electrical insulating properties, chemical resistance, and heat resistance. Occasionally, you will see PBT used for door handles, bumpers, and carburetor components

Note:
- Our vendors continue to have issues with Global Supply Chain across a range of categories and components impacting our ability to provide detailed/ planned delivery timing across a large swath of our Product Portfolio. These categories impacted include (but are not limited to) such lower-level products as: steel, plastic, electrical component, and microprocessor chips. These ongoing issues, often with last minute notification from the supply base, have negatively impacted planned production beyond our control.
