Vehicle exterior cameras that provide images for navigation display require verification of correct alignment when a camera or video processing module (VPM) is replaced. The EL-51372 Mat has a series of three white squares printed on a 4' x 15' non-glare black polymer material.
The Mat is unrolled and accurately positioned either alongside or at the front or rear of the vehicle. The cameras focus on the location of the 4 corners where the white squares meet the black and the system software is then calibrated to align the cameras to those locations using GDS2. This is one Mat that is moved around the vehicle depending on the camera needing calibration.
The Mat ships in an exterior carton and there is an internal carton with an instructional decal affixed to the carton that is used for permanent storage of the Mat.
