Description

Kent-Moore CH-52078 Coil Spring Compressor

Application: Express, Savana full-size vans

Full-size Express and Savana vans have coil springs in the front suspension with 4-1/2”-5” IDs, depending on the GVW. Commercially available coil spring compressors do not fit these coils well. CH-52078 includes two plates that fit both 4-1/2” and 5” ID coils, allowing the use of a larger, heavy-duty drive rod with an integrated upper plate drive. Both plates are inserted into the spring.

The drive rod is installed through the upper plate, then turned 1/2 turn to seat the drive rod into the upper plate drive slots. This allows the upper plate to be turned into the correct position to compress the spring. Both plates have one side thicker than the other to keep the engagement on the coils squarer and ensure proper fit and precise alignment during spring compression.
